Agarose, a natural polysaccharide, has attracted much attention in drug delivery nanocarriers due to its unique colloidal properties. Its three-dimensional network structure provides an ideal loading platform for drugs and effectively stabilizes the nanoparticle structure. The agarose matrix has good biocompatibility, which can reduce the toxicity of drugs to tissues and improve drug efficacy. In addition, the high viscosity of agarose helps delay drug release and achieve long-lasting treatment. By changing the concentration and cross-linking degree of agarose, the physical properties of the carrier can be adjusted to meet the requirements of different drugs. Taken together, agarose shows broad application prospects in nanodrug delivery systems.
